BEIRUT: MTC touch Wednesday launched its packages for 3G connectivity, a week after Alfa introduced the long-awaited service.

MTC touch’s “3.9G” service offers customers five packages that mirror those of Alfa.

Options by MTC touch include a $10 offer for a 100 MB cap, $19 for 500 MB cap, $32 for 1GB cap, $79 for 3GB cap and $99 for 5GB cap. Additional MBs will cost $0.1, $0.08, $0.07, $0.07 and $0.06 for each respective package.

Customers can either access the service directly on their existing MTC touch line (prepaid or postpaid), or via a separate “Data-Only SIM/Micro SIM,” which can be inserted in tablets such as the iPad 3G, whether or not the person is subscribed to the operator.

Dongle, router or mini router options are also available for high-speed connection on personal computers.

Access to the 3G network will also allow the use of video call services.
