Cigarettes disappear from supermarket shelves in England
Packets of cigarettes will disappear from supermarket shelves from Friday as new laws banning them from shop displays come into force.
Tobacco products must stay hidden in closed cupboards or be kept under shop counters under the extension of England’s tough antismoking laws.
The reforms require all large shops and supermarkets to scrap displays at the point of sale with only temporary displays in ”certain limited circumstances” to be allowed
This fact will happen in England while here in our great Lebanon we are still not able to ban smoking in Public areas as well as in Night Clubs, Pubs and Restaurant.
Most of the Restaurants owner who never care about the health of the customers and only care about their investments based on providing customers “Nargileh”, strongly opposed the new law that consist of banning smoking in public areas!
Our restaurants here never respect the non smokers neither care for the customer’s health, they allow all kind of smoking! Our government and Parliament are doing nothing towards this issue!
