Restaurants in major cities are now obliged to designate sufficient parking space for their customers in a bid to lessen traffic jams in popular areas, Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud said in a statement Friday.

Occupancy at Beirut hotels down to 55 percent !
Ernst & Young’s benchmark survey of the Middle East hotel sector indicated that the average occupancy rate at hotels in Beirut was 55 percent in the first 9 months of 2011, decreasing from 68 percent in the same period last year.
